- Die Art kommt an Wildpflanzen und in Luzerne-Kulturen vor. Nach Jäger et al. (2008) wird Medicago sativa in Deutschland nicht oder nur sehr selten kultiviert. Entsprechende Wirtsangaben dürften sich demnach auf eine weite Auffassung unter Einschluss von Formen der hybridogenen Medicago varia beziehen.
