- Eine allgemeine Gefährdung ist nicht erkennbar, obwohl die Bestände an der Nordgrenze der Verbreitung Bestandsschwankungen unterworfen sind.

- Nicht im Osten und Norden Deutschlands, meidet das atlantische Klima und den pannonischen Einflussbereich, sonst aber überall, stellenweise zahlreich nachgewiesen. Aktuell in Bayern, Baden-Württemberg, Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Hannover, Thüringen und Sachsen-Anhalt. Art der halboffenen Landschaften, oft in Waldnähe, vom Hügel- bis ins Bergland, an verschiedenen Kotarten.
