- Forcart (1966) stellte fest, dass Arion subfuscus vom Originalfundort in Südfrankreich nicht identisch mit der in Mitteleuropa verbreiteten Art sei, für die er den Namen Arion fuscus verwendete (Arbeitsgruppe Mollusken Baden-Württemberg 2008).
