- Der Falsche Mehltau an Cardamine enneaphyllos wurde früher zu Peronospora dentariae-macrophyllae Gäum. gestellt, bis er in die Gattung Hyaloperonospora überführt und als eigenständige Art ausgegliedert wurde (Voglmayr et al. 2014). Hyaloperonospora dentariae-macrophyllae (Gäum.) Y.J. Chin & H.J. Shin kommt demnach nur in Ostasien vor.

- Die Art wurde erstmals im Jahr 2006 in Deutschland nachgewiesen (Jage et al. 2017) und ist vorher vermutlich übersehen worden. Sie wird als indigen eingestuft.
