(1996) unterschieden zwei Unterarten, von denen die bundesweit verbreitete Pulsatilla vulgaris subsp. vulgaris in die Kategorie „3“ und die als in Bayern vorkommend angegebene P. vulgaris subsp. grandis (= P. vulgaris subsp. vulgaris var. oenipontana) in die Kategorie „2“ eingestuft wurden.
