- Comment on taxonomy
- Die Art wird weiter gefasst als in Klenke & Scholler (2015). Entsprechend der Sequenzanalysen in Bradshaw et al. (2021) clustern die Erysiphe-Befälle auf Baptisia zusammen mit denen von E. guarinonii auf Laburnum. Erysiphe baptisiae – so auch in Klenke & Scholler (2015) enthalten – wird somit als ein Synonym von E. guarinonii eingeordnet.

- Nach Schmidt & Braun (2020) gehören möglicherweise hierher auch die von ihnen publizierten Erysiphe-Befälle auf Cytisus decumbens und C. scoparius.
