- Die Art wurde mehrfach aus dem Einzugsgebiet des Rheins vom Bodenseegebiet über die oberrheinische Tiefebene, Mittelrhein bis nach Kleve und Münster nachgewiesen. Auch aus dem Donautal bei Passau und Dresden ist sie inzwischen bekannt geworden. Scutigera coleoptrata tritt überwiegend synanthrop auf.
