- Der Artstatus des bislang als Subspezies geführten Laccobius atrocephalus ssp. ytenensis Sharp, 1910 wurde zwischenzeitlich anerkannt (Gentili & Ribera 1998). Damit sind die für Deutschland angegebenen Funde von L. atrocephalus Reitter, 1872 nunmehr L. ytenensis Sharp, 1910 zuzuordnen.
