- Wegen der Bevorzugung trocken-warmer Standorte ist eine Abnahme wahrscheinlich, denn viele Lebensräume gingen in den letzten 10 bis 25 Jahren verloren bzw. sind nur noch infolge von Naturschutzmaßnahmen erhalten geblieben. In Bayern ist eine Verdrängung durch die sich ostwärts ausbreitende Hausspitzmaus dokumentiert (Kraft 2008). Für Brandenburg nimmt Schmidt (2019) einen Rückgang aufgrund eines anthropogen verringerten Habitatangebots an.
