- Meeboon et al. (2020) zeigen die separate Stellung des bisher nur als Anamorphe bekannten Pilzes innerhalb der Podosphaera tridactyla-Gruppe auf. Der Hinweis auf ein Vorkommen von Podosphaera pruni-lusitanicae an Prunus lusitanica* in Deutschland in Meeboon et al. (2020) ist nicht korrekt (vgl. Kummer 2021).
