- Der Name wurde früher oft im Sinne einer Sammelart unter Einschluss von Befällen auf weiteren Potentilla-Arten verstanden. Nach Thines in Jage et al. (2017) handelt es sich auch bei der jetzigen Fassung noch um einen Artenkomplex.
