- Der Marderhund ist in der „Liste invasiver gebietsfremder Arten von unionsweiter Bedeutung“ der EU (EU-Verordnung Nr. 1143/2014) ab dem 02.02.2019 aufgeführt. Von der Art ausgehende negative Wirkungen sind zu minimieren. Ein Zurückdrängen ist insbesondere in und im Umfeld von Schutzgebieten notwendig, um die Lebensgemeinschaften autochthoner Arten zu schützen.
